Why the Title?

Why the blog title? Really?

No, although I love their music, I am not a hardcore Cranberries fan (their 5th album had the same title).

Yes, the title is an idiom; an idiom with a meaning which http://www.usingenglish.com points out as:

When someone doesn’t realise what is really happening or is not paying enough attention to events around them, you can tell them to wake up and smell the coffee.

Sounds a lot like me, that someone who doesn’t realize what is really happening.   I’ve been accused in my teen years of being too inattentive, something which I carried until my early adult life.  This was part of the reason why I decided to use part of my brain for blogging.  It helps me to focus on other things by writing down the thoughts that sort of distract me in my day-to-day function.

Part of my brain? I still need the rest of the grey matter for my day job. 😛

Edit notes:

1.  I changed the subheading “Thoughts Written While Half-Awake” to “Just Another Blog From Just Another Crazy Blogger.”

2.  I guess I am fond of long titles.  I owe that to a lot of 80s movies with long titles.  The “Once Upon a Time in China” series of movies come to mind.

3.  Why is this just another blog from just another crazy blogger?  I think bloggers take themselves too seriously.  The problem is, some readers also take bloggers way too seriously.

    1. HI, Jen!

Thanks for dropping by this odd patch of words that make up a blog which claims to have been powered mostly be lack of sleep and caffeine. 🙂

Good thing there’s coffee for us, right?
